Tadanori Yokoo

Tadanori Yokoo began his visual arts career as a stage designer for avant-garde theatre in Tokyo before becoming a graphic designer and ultimately a fine artist. In the 1960s his work reflected the mysticism and phychedelia that was popular in pop art. Unfairly referred to as the Japanese Andy Warhol or likened to Peter Max, Tadanori Yokoo is an artistic original.
